Parent teacher conferences will be held October 7th and 12th from 3-7pm.
All students and families are invited to attend and check on the status and maintain communication with your student’s teachers at P/T Conferences.  Appointments are required, may be in-person or virtual, and can be scheduled at https://www.schoolbookings.net/code/nn34f once the link goes live on Friday, October 1st. Booking code - nn34f

Step-by step guidance and instructions can be found HERE. Appointments are first come, first served, and spots are limited.  If your student is thriving in class, please consider reaching out to your teachers for feedback through email rather than a formal conference.

           September Notes and Upcoming Events

Thank you for helping your student(s) have a terrific start to school this year.  We appreciate your efforts to assist your students and us in providing a quality education despite the challenges that may arise. Here are some important bits of information on upcoming events.

Octo October 12th (during Conferences) Senior Parent Meeting/FAFSA Workshop: 5

Join the HCHS counseling staff in the HCHS Library to learn more about navigating senior year and preparing for next steps. Staff from HCHS and KCC will be there to assist in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is required to apply for Federal financial aid for students planning to continue their education after high school.  Be sure to bring your most recent/last year’s Tax Return to assist in completing the FASFA.

MME October 13th: PSAT Fall Testing Date and Senior Service Day

Students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will participate in PSAT testing to collect important student progress data and prepare them for the spring SAT date.  The testing will take place during the normal school hours but it is extremely important to arrive on time and ready to begin testing at 7:45 a.m.  All CACC, BCAMSC and Dual-Enrolled 9th, 10th and 11th graders are expected to PSAT test at HCHS.

Senior Service Day: 12th grade students are not testing and are instead expected to seek opportunities to complete service hours through volunteer activities, job shadows, or other pre-arranged opportunities. This may include college visits as well.  All seniors need to complete 20 hours of service for graduation requirements. This is a great opportunity to complete a portion of those required hours.

Lastly, during our beginning of the year grade-level class meetings, we emphasized some keys to success that you can reinforce at home:

1) Regular attendance at school and involvement in school activities

2) Take care of your mind, body, and spirit by:

  • avoiding negative interactions (especially on social media)

  • choosing positive peer influence(s)

  • maintaining healthy sleep patterns

3) Challenge yourself academically

4) Be kind to one another.

We appreciate your support as we navigate this school year.

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year!

We hope you have had a wonderful summer, but school is now officially in session! The High School had a great start of classes. We are still ironing out the wrinkles of returning to 5 days a week in-person classes again, but will continue to smooth things out as long as necessary.

Students schedules may still change as we correct errors and adjust for maximum effectiveness. We still need to emphasize that all students and families please complete and return an Acceptable User Agreement (AUA) located in the "Quick Links" on this page so that full access to district technology (laptops) and resources (websites and software) can be permitted.  A copy was also mailed to families or can be picked up at the main office.
Please check the links below for additional details on important School Information:

We appreciate your support as we return to EDUCATE, EMPOWER and EQUIP our students this year.  As always, please call or stop in the main office between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for any additional assistance.  Go Beavers!
