Beautiful day for the Beavers this past Saturday as the Clay Target Team traveled to compete at the Lowell Schools Skeet and Sporting Clays Invitational in Lansing. Congratulations to Freshman Gavin Rice as he lead the JV Division in Skeet with a High Overall score of 41 out of 50. Rice was immediately followed by fellow Freshman Beaver and teammate Eli Morris who came in with the second high overall score for the JV Division shooting a score of 40 out of 50. Senior Decklan Craft came in 2nd High Overall in the Varsity Division in Skeet boasting a score of 46 out of 50. Skeet had the Varsity squad placing 5th and the JV squad medaled with their short 2-man squad placing 3rd edging out a full 3-man squad from Rockford. Sporting Clays had the Beavers bringing a medal in 3rd place for the short JV squad of Eli Morris and Gavin Rice, again edging out a full 3-man squad from Rockford. Harper Creek High School Counselors make every effort to meet the academic, postsecondary, and social emotional needs of every single student at HCHS. We aim to do this by providing individual, small group, and classroom counseling sessions to students across diverse topics as frequently as possible. School Counselors will work with students and parents on scheduling, navigating the complexities of postsecondary planning, career exploration, and managing personal issues.
School Counselors will also help students to complete their Educational Development Plans (EDP's), provide recommendations, offer occupational guidance, help students to locate information relevant to their plans after high school, and assist with scholarship information. In addition, we are here to assist students with other matters such as: attendance, organization, and motivation. While we do not provide long term psychotherapy, we can help provide referrals to local mental health organizations.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!
