I am originally from the Detroit Area but now call Battle Creek home. I have been at Harper Creek since 2010 and plan to stay for good. I am In addition to teaching science, I am also the Head Coach for the Women's Varsity Swim Team and assist with the middle school swim team. Go Harper!
I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I went back to MSU for my Masters in Education.
Between teaching and coaching, I do rarely get moments of spare time. I enjoy reading. I love a mixture of fiction books but also non-fiction books. My favorite authors are Mary Roach and Malcolm Gladwell. I also listen to the podcast “Stuff You Should Know." Josh and Chuck do a great job explaining all sorts of topics (that I probably should already know). I am a big fan of MSU athletics especially the football and basketball teams (Go Green!). I also run and swim.
